Readers' Advisory: Finding Series/Sequels

Guide to finding reading recommendations.

Series Information

NoveList Plus is integrated into the Library's Catalog and allows browsers to link to series information.  NoveList is a fiction database that provides subject headings, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such as author read-alikes and book discussion guides. To access the resources below from home you'll need to log in using your library card and PIN (last four digits of whatever phone number we have on file for you).

How to find series information in the Library's Catalog:

  1. Search for a specific title in a series or the author of the series.
  2. Select one of the titles that you know is a part of the series information you are looking for. (Our example search is for A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle)
  3. Click on "Recommendations and Reviews" from the left hand menu options (see image to the right)
  4. The first category on this screen will be "Books in this Series."  The books will be in the reading order of the series.  If there are more than five (5) books in a series, click on the "More" options to see the entire list.
  5. Each book is also a link to see if our library has copies of the other books in this series.
