Helpful information for individuals in their effort to search and apply for employment online.

How to Copy, Cut, and Paste

Simple definitions to help you with your copy or cut, and paste.

1) First, highlight all the data you wish to move.

2) Then select the "copy" command OR "cut" command (you can also right click on the higlighted word(s) to select copy, cut, or paste)

Copy - make a copy of highlighted data and place on clipboard

Cut    - remove highlighted data from this location and place on clipboard

3) Move cursor to location you wish to insert the selected data and select "paste" command

Paste - place the copied or cut data from the clipboard to where the cursor is currently located

The Clipboard - The data you are moving by using copy or cut, is placed on a internal computer "clipboard." Once the data is placed there, it will stay until you copy over it, or finish your session. Key here is the information will be lost if you perform additional cut or copy functions before you paste, and it will remain there after each paste such that you may paste it repeatedly.
